As part of the 25th year of HiPC, seven papers were selected as the most impactful papers published at HiPC over the past years. Included among these is the paper on "Proactive Fault Tolerance in MPI Applications Via Task Migration" published by Sayatan Chakravorty, Celso L. Mendes, and Laxmikant Kale in 2006. This paper demonstrates the fault tolerance features provided by Charm++ and Adaptive MPI (AMPI) in existing MPI applications. You can find the abstract for this paper below:
